Global Finance magazine has just published its yearly list of top investment banks, and Nordea is country winner in Denmark, Norway and Finland.
The Global Finance list is a ranking of the banks that are considered to have the greatest depth of knowledge – and the skills and knowhow to deploy that knowledge to serve their clients.
- We are very pleased with the awards, which are a testament to all the hard work done over the last couple of years to re-position Nordea to be a full-service provider throughout the value chain and throughout the Nordics, says Mathias Leijon, head of Corporate & Investment Banking. - The next step in our journey is to become more coordinated, agile and easy to deal with and turn our size and our multi-service capabilities into a real advantage.
The Global Finance editors, with input from industry experts, used a series of criteria – including market share, number and size of deals, service and advice, structuring capabilities, distribution network, efforts to address market conditions, innovation, pricing, after-market performance of underwritings and market reputation – to score and select winners, based on a proprietary algorithm. Deals announced or completed in 2016 were also considered.
