Travel and accident insurance programme

OJSC Nordea Bank together with CJSC «Chartis» offers its cardholders of VISA Classic, VISA Gold, VISA Platinum, MasterCard Standard and MasterCard Gold services of life insurance and travel accident insurance during trips in Russia and abroad. The service is free of charge.

OJSC Nordea Bank offers protection against risks related to unforeseen situations (accidents, sudden and unexpected sickness, death in the active working age).

In these cases the payment of coverage compensates the financial harm incurred by the insured.

Attention! The insurance becomes effective provided that the trip (ticket, tour, petrol, hotel stay, Duty Free shops or any other expenses during trip itself) had been fully or partially paid for with a bank card before the claim occurs.

Accident insurance programme offers protection:

• During the entire term of insurance
• 24 hours a day
• 365 days a year
• worldwide.

The insurance coverage (the maximum insurance amount and the range of insurable risks) will depend on the type of your card:

• VISA Classic or MasterCard Standard;
• VISA Gold, VISA Business, MasterCard Gold or MasterCard Business;
• VISA Platinum cardholders.

To apply for the service the customer should:

• present his/her ID (for example, the passport) and bank card to any unit of Nordea Bank
• fill out an “Insurance” application.

The insurance will be activated within 5 business days, then at the Bank’s unit the customer may pick up an identification card, individual certificate and extracts from policy insurance terms.

In the event of accident the cardholder (Insured Person) should:

2. Inform operator of the following data:
   • Surname, name, patronymic
   • Contact telephone number, location
   • Insurance contract number, term of insurance (data are indicated on the plastic Travel Guard card);
   • Name of the policyholder (OJSC Nordea Bank)
   • Brief accident details.
