«Bank-Client/Internet» System

Upon installing the Bank-Client/Internet System (with a web interface), the customer exchange data with the bank over the Internet.

The use of a Bank-Client/Internet System has the following advantages:

No specialised software is required on the customer’s computer
It is sufficient for a customer to have a standard version of Microsoft Internet Explorer for standard operation. System operations proceed through a common HTML page. A customer of Nordea Bank may use any computer connected to the Internet with an appropriate browser installed. Software operations are independent of the type of connection.

Continuous upgrade of system capabilities and changes in legislation
Occasionally system capabilities may be upgraded or changes may occur in the laws of the Russian Federation, thus requiring appropriate adjustments of the system software. In this case, the software is updated automatically when a customer connects to the bank via the system; no other steps are required and the customer may commence operations with an updated version of system software.

High-speed document flow
The use of electronic telecommunications for the purposes of document flow between a customer and the bank substantially increases the transmission rate of documents. Documents sent by a customer reach the bank and are processed immediately. Most of the documents received by the bank from customers can be processed automatically (if properly composed). It is impossible to achieve the same data transfer and processing rates when conventional paper data transfer formats are applied.

Security
The latest developments in data protection guarantee complete system information security. When working with the system, you can be sure that data transferred to and received from the bank is strictly confidential. The well-developed system limits data access rights, ensuring that your documents will be received only by authorised persons. The Nordea Bank operating procedure requires that documents transferred to the bank on behalf of the customer are signed with a required number of digital signatures of officers authorised by the customer to sign relevant documents. The use of a digital signature as an electronic equivalent of the paper signature by an authorised customer officer eliminates the possibility of document transfer by other persons on behalf of that authorised officer.

As an additional protective measure against unauthorised access to the «Bank-Client/Internet» system, the Bank offers a free service of access to the «Bank-Client/Internet» from fixed IP addresses.
